Mobile page speed matters. New Google tool is out. And DuckDuckGo is improving its user experience.
#1 Google will add mobile page speed to its algorithm
Google has confirmed that mobile page speed will be a ranking factor with the next mobile update.
Comment: It is not enough to merely have a mobile friendly site. Websites have to be designed for both desktop and mobile use in order to create an optimal user experience.
#2 Google launches Test My Site tool
Google introduces a new landing page testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com for website owners to test both mobile-friendliness and page speed.
Comment: The new tool is easy to use and gives some fairly useful tips for less experienced website owners to deal with page speed issues.
#3 DuckDuckGo adds new features to search
DuckDuckGo has introduced 2 new features: filtering search results by date and creating sitelinks for top results.
Comment: As users are more concerned about their online privacy, new features on DuckDuckGo can draw more users to this privacy-oriented search engine.
